Reporting to the President & CEO and working closely with the Credit Manager, this position comes with a set of key responsibilities:
Responsibilities of Collections Manager
- Oversee and provide ongoing training and support to a remote team of Collections Officers.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to develop strategies for maximizing the team’s collections success.
- Deliver coaching and feedback to Collection Officers based on field experience and data analysis of agent performance.
- Handle accounts requiring escalation to a manager for further review.
- Establish payment arrangements with customers who have missed payments and are past due.
- Interact directly with GoDay customers to respond to inbound and outbound calls.
- Utilize multiple web-based applications for investigation and verification.
- Address questions from current and potential customers.
- Manage customer accounts in arrears.
- Develop repayment plans with customers who are past due.
- Cultivate customer confidence in the company’s services.
- Conduct follow-up calls on non-responsive accounts.
- Lead a team to achieve group and individual goals.
The successful candidate will need to collaborate with third-party partners, such as legal representatives, collection agencies, and technology providers, necessitating an understanding of accounts receivable department management.
