The available position is for a Personal Insurance Advisor at Broker Link’s Canmore, AB office, offered on a Permanent Full-Time basis.

What are the Key Responsibility of  Personal Insurance Advisor

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Addressing ongoing client needs,
  • Providing insurance advice,
  • Conducting needs assessments,
  • Offering solutions,
  • Responding to inquiries,
  • Making care calls, and handling renewal processes.
  • Selling new policies and writing new business for both existing and new clients, while retaining an existing book of business.
  • Quoting new business through outbound call initiatives, introductory letters, and assisting walk-in clients.
  • Collaborating with Underwriters and Adjusters to discuss guidelines and policy matters.
  • Preparing documentation for insurers, completing applications for clients, issuing insurance certificates, processing changes, and reviewing renewals.
  • Staying updated on underwriting rules and workflow processes.
  • Actively participating in training initiatives.
  • Involvement in community marketing activities.

The ideal candidate for this role is expected to have:

  • A high school and/or post-secondary education.
  • A minimum of 2 years of sales experience (previous insurance sales experience is preferred but not required).
  • A Level 1 General license (preferred).
  • Exposure to Epic (an asset).
  • A strong customer-centric approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and credit check (preferred).
